Well, I was right about Kevin Durant being the best player on the floor but not on the outcome of the game. KD scored a record 46 points on his way to a 122-116 win and MVP honors for the Sophomore squad. He carried the second year team in the second half, hitting three consecutive 3-pointers at one point to bring the Sophomores within two. Miami Heat forward Michael Beasley did all he could scoring 29 points for the Rookies while L.A. Clipper guard Eric Gordon chipped in with 19. Durant broke Amare Stoudemire's scoring record of 36 points in the 2004 game.
