News on Kanye's Next Album

Wikipedia:

West mentioned that he was working on his 5th studio album at a listening party for his then-upcoming album 808s & Heartbreak, saying that he planned to release it in June 2009. However, this did not materialize. Later, West affiliates Mr. Hudson and DJ A-Trak reported that he was in the studio working on a new album, with Hudson saying that it might be "an old school record on a tape deck", using "just a drum machine, ghetto blaster and a microphone". On January 4th, 2010, West confirmed that he was in back the studio. Rapper Drake and Blink-182drummer Travis Barker said that Kanye was absent from the 2010 Grammy Awards because of on-going work on his next album.

On February 19th, 2010, new rumors spread concerning the album based off of numerous Twitter messages. Rapper Big Sean tweeted that he was in the studio working with Kanye and producer No I.D. in Hawaii. He later tweeted he was working on Kanye's new album, which he referred to as "Good Ass Job".

Also in February 2010, Canadian rapper-singer Drake revealed to GQ magazine that he has been in Hawaii laying down tracks for the album. Drake said that the album "is going to be one of the best hip-hop albums in the last 10 years".
