USA got their first victory today in the double-elimination tournament versus Canada. The Americans won 6-5 and needed three homeruns to do so. Kevin Youkilis, Brian McCann and Adam Dunn all went deep, while Derek Jeter and Shane Victorino had two hits apiece. LaTroy Hawkins got the win and newly acquired New York Mets pitcher J.J. Putz earned the save.
