The Goal That Never Was
Clip of Joe in yesterdays first round soccer game between #2 Harwich and #15 Rockland. After winning the South Shore League for the second straight year, the Rough Riders looked strong heading in to tournament play. SSL leading scorer Alex Vottler put Harwich up early in the second half only to see the lead slip away about 15 minutes later. After regulation and one overtime the two teams were still deadlocked at one goal apiece, but not long into the second half Chris Vottler went down with an injury and Rockland put in the winning goal and the Rough Riders lost in the first round for the second year in a row. They ended the season with a 17-2-2 record.

Starting to Pay Off
Just like that the team with the most World Series titles in baseball history is one game away from winning another.
Johnny Damon went 3-5, Posada had 3 RBI's and A-Rod another clutch 2-out RBI to put the Yankees up for good in the eighth inning.
Cliff Lee gets the Game 5 start against AJ Burnett Monday night at 7:57PM.
